I use Telerik Test Studio for end-to-end tests automations. In elements finding criteria there are many options including using XPath expression. So, my problem now is about how to include a binding value in that XPath expression.
I have tried to use $(BindingVariableName) but it's not working. This idea is coming from that that link but using their syntax seems to be taking in account the whole field as for the example in the link.
Using $(Binding) into XPath expressions seems to consider $(Binding) as a text.
Here, a sample of what I'm expecting. //td[@name=$(bindingVariableName)] but Test Studio could not find element.

What are the differences of the two editions? I can't find a side-by-side comparison between the two. Obviously Ultimate is more complete (I think).

We have a Silverlight application that opens a third party HTML application. I am trying to get our test to click a few buttons in this window to close it and then continue with the Silverlight test. I am able to record the steps required (when the new browser appears I use Record->Attach to), but when I run the test it times out trying to find the buttons in the new window to press. If I pause the test at this point, I can only locate the DOM for the Silverlight application and not the new browser window.

What do I need to do to be able to get this to work?

My Application is developed in Html5. In the Application , there is a html table with many pages. I need to Count the total number of rows present in the table including all pages.. I try With a simple code as mentioned below:

 

r=Pages.xxxx.mytable.AllRows.Count

Messagebox.show("Count of rows is "&r)

 

This Returns only the number of rows present in the first page.. It doesnt Count the other rows from Next page. Could you please help me to Write a code to Count the total number of rows from all the pages..

How should one handle a web page that is considered by Telerik as a popup when the URL is unique to each record in the application.
The command below was copied from a step that I converted to be a coded step (in order to be able to show the entire string)
In the case below, the dynamic part will be the PV=63 - in this particular case, the record ID is 63 but it will surely be applied to a different record ID when the test will be invoked!

Can one resort to regular expressions in this case?
If so, how is this done?

Sometimes all of a suddent we get compilation errors saying a particular element is a particular test is not found although the user has not changed anything to the elements.

Why  telerik renames the existing element ?
